Project Get Healthy is under way, and I feel as if I am making some progress, although slowly.
After completing Phase One of South Beach and only losing a tiny 4 pounds, I now am convinced that I have something physically keeping me from losing weight. The first time I did South Beach I lost 10 pounds in like five days. But this time around, my body is just not giving up the flub.
However, rather than letting this get me down, I am hoping to spend the next couple of months focused on my eating and exercise habits, and making a concerted effort to get my sluggish metabolism, thyroid, or adrenal system kicked back into high gear. I now realize that there isn't a "magic pill" that can "give me energy, make me lose weight, and make me happy." I have to change a lot of things in my lifestyle to bring about the changes I want.
