Great, I had to listen to my six-year-old son cry last night because Duke went and blew it against LSU in the NCAA tournament. Jared came running downstairs after the game really upset. Not that he's a huge Duke fan. He was upset because he had picked Duke to win the entire tournament in the box pool.
"Oh great," he screamed, "Now I have NO chance of winning!"
Granted he only filled out the box pool with my husband and my daughter, and he doesn't have any money riding on the game (or the tournament), but still the boy was crushed. You have to understand, it's in his blood. Arnolds do not take sports or gambling very lightly.
Last weekend we played Bingo for dollars, at my son's insistence. And afterwards, when I said I was done with Bingo, he said, without missing a beat, "How about Texas Hold 'Em?"
